- Alysa Butler
- Hi! My name's Alysa Butler and I am a junior at Middle College High School in San Pablo. I will graduate in May of 2013 with a high school diploma as well as my AA degree(Associates in Arts degree) with an emphasis in math and science. When I graduate I hope to attend a four year institution and major in biology or chemistry. I have always been interested in the sciences which is what prompted me to apply to the physics program at the University of Pennsylvania this summer. I consider myself to be a very well-rounded individual with a musical background. From the ages of 8 to 15 I was a member of the Young Musicians Program at the University of California, Berkeley, where I played trumpet in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Big Band, a jazz quartet, as well as the youth orchestra. I am also a dancer. I do hip-hop and West African dance at the East Bay Center for Performing Arts located in Richmond, California. I am very grateful to be a member of the Ivy League Connection and look forward to all the adventures I will participate in.
